The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Invisible Bilbo Baggins Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It was a standard production release from 2013 and was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, it remains a common item in the secondary market.
The 2013 Invisible Bilbo Baggins Pop! (SKU 44) is a common variant that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in mint condition. Prices generally fluctuate based on the condition of the box and the specific marketplace, with sealed figures commanding the higher end of that range.
The Funko Pop! Movies series featuring the "Invisible" variant of Bilbo Baggins (SKU 44) was not released by Funko in 2013. While Funko did release a standard Bilbo Baggins Pop! in 2013, the "Invisible" line was a later promotional or special edition concept, and no official 2013 SKU 44 matches this description in Funko's production records. If your figure claims to be a 2013 release with this specific SKU and variant, it is likely a counterfeit, a mislabeled third-party product, or a confusion with a different item. To authenticate a Funko Pop!, you should verify the SKU against Funko's official release history and check for consistent box quality, figure weight, and packaging details, but in this specific case, the item as described does not appear to be a genuine, standard market release.
The Invisible Bilbo Baggins Pop! Movies was released in 2013 by Funko.
The Invisible Bilbo Baggins Pop! Movies figure is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2013 release, it has been discontinued, meaning any new copies found on the market are likely from remaining retail stock or are counterfeit. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialty shops, where prices for unopened boxes can vary significantly based on condition.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for paint application issues, such as chipping, smudging, or misalignment, and verifying that the head and body are properly aligned without gaps. You should also examine the box for signs of wear, creasing, or damage, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a professional grading service, though many collectors simply assess the item's condition visually based on these physical attributes.
