No, the Jack Sparrow (Variant) Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2017 that was widely available through major retail channels and online stores. While variant figures can sometimes command higher prices than their standard counterparts due to limited production runs, this specific item remains a common collectible with a stable and accessible secondary market.
The value of a 2017 Jack Sparrow (Variant) Pop! Disney figure varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is in the original sealed box or loose. Generally, these standard variant figures trade in the secondary market for approximately $10 to $20, with sealed copies commanding a slight premium over loose ones. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and specific marketplace listings, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market value.
Authenticating a 2017 Jack Sparrow Variant Pop! requires checking for specific quality markers, such as the correct "Funko" logo on the base and the presence of a holographic sticker on the packaging if it is still sealed. Examine the paint application closely, as genuine figures typically have clean lines and consistent coloring, whereas counterfeits often exhibit bleeding paint, rough edges, or off-brand fonts on the box. Since Funko has not released a public authentication service for individual figures, the most reliable method is to compare your item against high-resolution images of verified authentic examples from reputable collector communities or established resellers.

To condition-check this figure, inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, paying close attention to the face and the cutlass. Verify that the eyes are properly aligned and that the base is free of cracks or discoloration. If you intend to grade it for a service like PSA, the figure must be in its original, unopened packaging, as graded Pop! figures are only accepted in sealed boxes.
