The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Jafar (Live Action) Pop! Disney is not considered a rare item. It is a standard production figure released as part of the general Disney collection, meaning it is widely available through major retailers and does not carry the limited production numbers associated with exclusive or special edition variants.
The retail price for the Jafar (Live Action) Pop! Disney (SKU 542) is typically around $12.99 USD. As a standard mass-produced item, its secondary market value generally hovers near retail price, with fluctuations depending on local availability and demand. There is no established premium value for this specific figure beyond its original retail cost.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Jafar (Live Action) with SKU 542, verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo, a scannable QR code, and a holographic sticker on the box. The figure itself should have a smooth, consistent plastic finish with sharp paint application and the "Funko" logo embossed on the base. If the packaging lacks these security features or the figure exhibits rough seams and poor paint quality, it is likely a counterfeit.
The Jafar (Live Action) Pop! Disney figure was released in 2023. This specific variant was produced to coincide with the 2019 live-action adaptation of Aladdin, in which Jafar was portrayed by the late actor Alan Cumming.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Jafar (Live Action) Pop! Disney, so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific SKU is often inconsistent due to high demand and production fluctuations, meaning it may be out of stock at major retailers for extended periods. Collectors should check current inventory on Funko's official website or authorized retailers to confirm immediate availability.
To condition-check a Jafar (Live Action) Pop! Disney, inspect the figure for common defects such as paint chips, scratches, or molding issues on the plastic, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of debris. Check the packaging for any dents, tears, or creases, as the box condition significantly impacts the value of the item. If you are seeking a professional grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though most collectors simply assess the item as Mint in Box (MIB) or Near Mint based on visual inspection.
