No, the Javier Baez Pop! MLB is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2021 as part of the regular MLB lineup, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is widely available on the secondary market.
The value of a 2021 Javier Baez Funko Pop! MLB (SKU 64) typically ranges from $5 to $15 in the secondary market, depending on the condition of the figure and box. As a standard production item from a major league player, it does not command a premium price compared to limited editions or rookie-year figures. Prices fluctuate based on current demand and the specific condition of the item, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate your Javier Baez Pop! MLB, first verify that the box is sealed with the correct 2021 release date and that the figure matches the official SKU 64 design. Check the base for the embossed Funko logo and ensure the paint application is clean without significant bleeding, as poor paint quality is a common indicator of counterfeits. If the packaging features a holographic sticker, you can scan the QR code on the Funko website to confirm the item's authenticity, though many standard retail releases do not include this feature.

Funko has discontinued the Javier Baez Pop! MLB figure, so it is no longer in print or available for purchase new from the manufacturer. While it may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, buyers should expect to pay a premium over the original retail price.
Condition-checking a Javier Baez Pop! MLB involves inspecting the vinyl figure for common defects such as paint chips, scratches, or misaligned parts, as well as verifying that the box is free from creases, tears, or fading. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party authentication service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on its physical state. Keep in mind that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the process is optional for casual collectors.
