No, the Joe Bruin Pop! College is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2021 as part of their college mascot line, and it was widely available through major retailers. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive release, it is generally easy to find in new or used condition.
The Joe Bruin Pop! College (SKU 16) is a standard retail release from 2021, and its value is typically determined by the secondary market for common, non-exclusive figures. In mint condition with the original box, these items generally sell for between $5 and $15, while unboxed figures usually fetch less than $5. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and condition, so checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate real-time valuation.
To authenticate your 2021 Joe Bruin Pop! College figure, first verify that the box is a genuine Funko Pop! College series release, which typically features a distinct color scheme and branding separate from standard vinyl lines. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often exhibit blurry printing or rough seams. You can cross-reference the SKU and year against official Funko release lists or reputable collector databases to confirm the item's legitimacy, though note that specific SKU numbers like "16" are often internal inventory codes rather than universal product identifiers.

The Joe Bruin Pop! College (SKU 16) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a university mascot figure from the 2021 era, it has been discontinued, meaning new copies can only be found on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, or misaligned eyes, and verifying that the box is free of significant wear, creases, or damage. For a formal grade, you must submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will evaluate the figure and packaging, assign a numerical score, and encapsulate it in a tamper-evident slab. Keep in mind that grading fees can be high relative to the item's value, so many collectors simply document the condition with photos for resale purposes.
