The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The John Winger Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2020 release wave of the *Ferris Bueller's Day Off* collection and was widely available through major retailers. While specific sealed boxes may command a premium if they are difficult to find today, the figure itself is a common collectible.
The John Winger Pop! Movies figure (SKU 989) is a standard retail item that typically sells for between $10 and $15 in new condition. Because it is a common release from 2020, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market, and used copies are often found for less than the retail price.
To authenticate your John Winger Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the specific SKU 989, which corresponds to the 2020 release. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, proper seam lines, and the standard Funko "F" logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or off-color details. If you are still uncertain about the item's legitimacy, contacting Funko's customer service with photos of the figure and its packaging is the most reliable way to confirm its authenticity.
The John Winger Pop! Movies was released in 2020 by Funko.
The John Winger Pop! Movies figure (SKU 989) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2020 release, it has been discontinued, meaning new stock is no longer produced or sold through official retail channels. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market.
To condition-check a John Winger Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl surface for any scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the hair and facial details where defects are most common. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the box is free of dents, creases, or significant wear, as these factors heavily influence resale value. If you are seeking a formal grade for insurance or investment purposes, you should submit the item to a professional third-party grading service, though this is rarely done for standard mass-market Funko Pop! figures.
