Common questions about the Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television from Funko (2020).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television figure is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production release from Funko’s 2020 catalog, meaning it was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, its production numbers are high, and it remains easily accessible in the secondary market.
The value of a Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television figure from the 2020 release varies significantly based on condition and whether it remains in its original sealed box. Unopened, retail-condition figures typically trade in the range of $10 to $20, while opened figures generally sell for less, often between $5 and $10. Prices can fluctuate based on current market demand and the specific platform where the item is listed.
To authenticate your Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television figure, verify that the SKU 970 and copyright information are clearly printed on the packaging and that the figure itself displays the standard Funko quality control marks. Examine the vinyl for consistent molding, proper paint application, and the correct articulation points, as counterfeit items often feature blurry logos, off-color plastics, or poor seam lines. If the packaging appears damaged, lacks the official Funko holographic sticker, or the figure feels lightweight and poorly finished, it is likely a replica. For definitive verification, you can compare your item side-by-side with high-resolution images of the official 2020 release or consult a certified authentication service.

The Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television (SKU 970) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2020 release, this figure has been discontinued, meaning any new copies found on the market are likely from remaining third-party inventory or are used items.
Condition-checking a Johnny Lawrence Pop! Television involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, particularly on the face and limbs. You should also verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the window box is free of significant scuffs, dents, or fading. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the item to a professional grading service, as Funko Pop! figures are not typically graded by major organizations like PSA in the same standardized way as trading cards.
