Common questions about the Johnny Pop! Movies from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Johnny Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a widely distributed standard release line by Funko in 2021. These items were produced in large quantities and are commonly found in retail stores and online marketplaces. Consequently, they do not carry the scarcity premium associated with limited edition or exclusive variants.
Johnny Pop! Movies (SKU 1099) is a standard retail Funko Pop released in 2021, and its value is typically determined by its condition and whether it remains sealed in the box. As a common, mass-produced item, it generally sells for a modest amount on the secondary market, often ranging from a few dollars to slightly above its original retail price depending on demand. Without specific market data for this exact SKU, I cannot provide a precise current valuation, but it is not considered a rare collectible.
Funko Pop! Movies are mass-produced vinyl figures, so there is no single "real" version to authenticate against a counterfeit in the traditional sense. To verify your item is a genuine 2021 release, check the bottom of the figure for the Funko logo and the copyright date, and ensure the packaging features the standard Funko branding and SKU 1099. If the vinyl feels unusually heavy, the paint is sloppy, or the box lacks standard security features like holographic stickers, it may be a reproduction, but most issues with these items are simply production variances rather than counterfeits.
The Johnny Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Johnny Pop! Movies figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, where prices and availability fluctuate based on condition and demand.
To condition-check a Johnny Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl surface for any scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections under bright, direct lighting. Verify that the figure is securely attached to its base and that the packaging, if present, is free from significant creases, tears, or water damage. Since these are mass-produced items, professional third-party grading is rarely necessary for standard retail examples, so a careful visual inspection is the standard method for assessing value.
