Common questions about the Katana Pop! Heroes from Funko (2017).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Katana Pop! Heroes figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run released by Funko in 2017. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may have lower production numbers, the standard SKU 169 figure was widely distributed and is generally accessible to collectors today.
The Katana Pop! Heroes (SKU 169) is a standard production Funko figure from 2017, and its value is primarily determined by condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a common item with a wide production run, it typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 for a new, sealed figure, while open figures generally have very little resale value. Exact pricing can fluctuate based on current market demand and the specific platform where it is listed.
Authenticating a 2017 Funko Pop! requires checking for consistent paint application, sharp molding details, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry text, off-color paint, or plastic that feels lighter and less dense than the original. Verify that the SKU 169 and copyright date on the box match the official 2017 release specifications, and compare the figure's proportions against high-resolution images from reputable collector databases. If the item lacks the standard Funko branding or exhibits significant manufacturing flaws, it is likely a replica, and consulting a specialized authentication service is recommended for definitive verification.
The Katana Pop! Heroes was released in 2017 by Funko.
The Katana Pop! Heroes figure (SKU 169) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. It was part of the original Pop! Heroes line released in 2017, which has been discontinued. Collectors seeking this item must look for used copies on the secondary market.
To condition-check a Katana Pop! Heroes, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, paying close attention to the blade and hilt where wear is most common. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the window of the original box is free from cracks, tears, or significant scuffing. While third-party grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade, most collectors in this market rely on visual inspection of the box and figure to determine value, as sealed boxes command a premium over opened ones.
