To authenticate your 2020 Kevin Malone Pop! (SKU 1048), verify that the figure features the specific tissue box shoes and wig accessories included in the box, as this variant is distinct from standard releases. Check the packaging for the official Funko logo, a clear SKU number matching 1048, and a holographic security sticker, which are standard indicators of genuine merchandise from that period. Inspect the vinyl for consistent molding quality and sharp paint application, as counterfeit figures often exhibit rough seams, misaligned eyes, or faded colors. If the packaging lacks these security features or the figure feels unusually light, it may be a replica, and you should consider having it appraised by a certified authentication service.
