Common questions about the Khan Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Khan Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2023 as part of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture movie collection, meaning it was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may have lower production numbers, the standard SKU 1300 figure is a common collectible.
The retail price for the Khan Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1300) is typically around $12.99, and it generally trades at or near that value in the secondary market. Because this is a standard, non-exclusive release from a major franchise, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price unless it is in a sealed box with high demand.
To authenticate your Khan Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging is sealed with the correct Funko branding and that the box includes the standard holographic sticker and barcode. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct "Funko" logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or uneven seams. While there is no official serial number database for standard Pop! figures, you can compare the physical item against high-resolution images of the authentic SKU 1300 released in 2023 to check for discrepancies in color or proportion. If the figure was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is highly likely to be genuine, but any significant deviations from the official product photos should prompt you to seek a professional appraisal.
The Khan Pop! Movies was released in 2023 by Funko.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Khan Pop! Movies (SKU 1300) is currently in print or available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2023 release, it is likely a discontinued item, meaning new stock is generally unavailable and collectors typically seek out used copies on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Khan Pop! Movie figure involves inspecting the vinyl surface for common manufacturing defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or minor scuffs, as well as verifying that the head and torso connect securely without excessive wobble. You should also examine the packaging for any signs of damage, such as crushed corners, torn plastic, or faded printing, which can significantly impact the value of a sealed item. Since these figures are mass-produced, minor cosmetic flaws are common, so it is helpful to compare your specific unit against high-resolution images of a known perfect example to identify any deviations.
