Common questions about the King Groot Pop! Games from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The King Groot Pop! Games figure is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production release from Funko in 2018. It was widely available through major retailers and is not a limited edition, exclusive, or discontinued variant that typically drives up collector demand.
There is no reliable market data available to determine the current value of the King Groot Pop! Games figure (SKU 297). As a 2018 release, its worth would depend entirely on its specific condition and whether it is sealed, but without verified recent sales records, any price estimate would be speculative.
Authenticating a 2018 King Groot Pop! Games figure (SKU 297) involves checking for the standard Funko quality markers, such as the embossed logo on the base and the specific color saturation of the wood grain and leaves. Verify that the packaging features the correct 2018 copyright date and that the figure number 297 is printed on the box. If the paint application is sloppy, the plastic feels brittle, or the base lacks the proper molding, the item is likely a counterfeit.
The King Groot Pop! Games was released in 2018 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the King Groot Pop! Games figure (SKU 297), so it is no longer in print. You cannot purchase this item new directly from Funko, and availability is now limited to the secondary market through third-party resellers.
To grade a King Groot Pop! Games figure, you should first inspect the vinyl for common defects such as mold lines, paint overspray, or chipped edges, paying close attention to the large head and leafy details. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will evaluate it on a 10-point scale based on paint, vinyl, and packaging condition. Keep in mind that because this is a 2018 release, finding a pristine, unopened box with intact shrink wrap is significantly more difficult than grading the loose figure.
