Common questions about the Kris Letang Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Kris Letang Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's main hockey line and was widely available through major retailers. While specific variants like Chase figures are rare, the standard SKU 63 is a common collectible that is frequently found in new and used condition.
There is no single fixed market value for a Kris Letang Pop! Hockey figure, as prices fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and current demand. As a standard production item, the figure typically trades for a few dollars to around $10 in the secondary market, significantly below its original retail price. You should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay to determine the precise current value for your specific copy.
To authenticate your Kris Letang Pop! Hockey figure, verify that the SKU number 63 is printed on the bottom of the base and that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and UPC code. Examine the figure's paint application, eye clarity, and plastic texture, as counterfeit items often feature blurry details, uneven coloring, or a rougher finish compared to the original. If the item lacks these specific manufacturing markers or the box appears to be a generic reproduction, it is likely a fake.
Funko does not publicly release specific dates for individual Pop! figures, so the exact release date for the Kris Letang Pop! Hockey (SKU 63) is not officially documented. While this figure is part of the NHL collection and was likely available in the early 2010s, reliable sources do not provide a precise month or year for its initial launch.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Kris Letang Pop! Hockey figure, so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific SKU is often inconsistent, and it is frequently sold out at major retailers. You may need to check secondary markets or specialized toy shops to find a new, unopened copy.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for individual Funko Pop! figures, so you cannot obtain a certified grade for a single Kris Letang figure. To condition-check the item, you should inspect it under bright light for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or chipped plastic, and verify that the figure is complete with its original box and accessories. If the figure is sealed in its original packaging, you can use a UV light to check for box wear or tampering, but the condition of the figure itself remains unverified until opened.
