Common questions about the Kuromi Pop! Sanrio from Funko.

No, the Kuromi Pop! Sanrio figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's Sanrio line that has been widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces since its initial release. While specific variants like exclusive editions or special finishes may have lower production numbers, the standard SKU 55 figure is a common collectible.
The value of a Kuromi Pop! Sanrio figure varies significantly based on its condition, packaging, and current market demand, with new-in-box copies typically selling for around $10 to $15. Because Funko Pop! prices fluctuate frequently, checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or StockX is the most reliable way to determine its exact current worth.
To authenticate your Kuromi Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the plastic window is intact. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeits often feature blurry printing or rough seams. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box against Funko's official product listings to ensure the item matches the released specifications. If the packaging or figure exhibits significant deviations from these standards, it is likely a replica.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Funko Pop! Sanrio figure with SKU 55, as Funko SKU numbers are typically unique to individual figures and do not correspond to a single "Kuromi" release in that specific sequence. Without a verified catalog entry matching this exact SKU, I cannot provide an accurate release date.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Kuromi Pop! Sanrio (SKU 55) is currently in print or available for purchase new from Funko.
Condition-checking a Kuromi Pop! Sanrio involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and molding defects, with particular attention to the black hair and red accents where imperfections are most visible. Verify that the figure stands level on its base without wobbling and that the eyes are properly aligned and free of clouding. For formal grading, submit the item to a recognized third-party service like PSA, which will encapsulate the figure and assign a numerical grade based on its overall cosmetic condition.
