Common questions about the Kuromi with Baku Pop! Sanrio from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Kuromi with Baku Pop! Sanrio (SKU 63) is not considered a rare collectible. It is a standard production figure from Funko's Sanrio line, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is generally easy to find in retail stores or online marketplaces. While specific variants like chases or limited editions may be harder to obtain, the standard version remains widely available.
The retail value for the Kuromi with Baku Pop! Sanrio (SKU 63) is typically between $10 and $15. As a standard production figure from the Sanrio line, it generally does not command a premium in the secondary market, with used copies often selling for less than the original retail price.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! requires checking for consistent paint application, sharp molding details, and a clear, legible copyright stamp on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry logos, uneven seams, or off-color plastic. You can verify the item by comparing it to high-resolution images of the official SKU 63 release and ensuring the packaging matches Funko's standard design, including the correct window shape and branding. If the figure feels unusually light, has a rough texture, or the box lacks a proper UPC label, it is likely a counterfeit.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a "Kuromi with Baku" Pop! Sanrio figure with SKU 63. Funko's SKU 63 typically corresponds to a standard Kuromi figure, and Baku is not a standard accessory included in that specific release.
Funko has discontinued the Kuromi with Baku Pop! Sanrio figure (SKU 63), so it is no longer in print. It is not available to buy new directly from Funko or major retail partners, and current availability is limited to the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface defects such as scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verifying that the eyes and accessories are intact. You should also examine the box for any damage, creases, or signs of tampering, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like Pop Grading, which will assign a numerical score based on specific criteria for the figure and its box.
