Common questions about the Kuromi with Phone Pop! Sanrio from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Kuromi with Phone Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item from Funko's Sanrio line. It is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, meaning its value is generally determined by current retail pricing rather than scarcity.
The value of a Kuromi with Phone Pop! Sanrio figure depends heavily on whether it is new in box, loose, or damaged, as well as current local market demand. As a standard mass-produced Funko Pop, it typically retails for approximately $12 to $15, and used copies generally sell for less than that price. Because this is a common release, it does not command a significant premium over its retail price unless it is part of a specific limited edition or has a notable defect.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! requires checking the box for a holographic sticker and the bottom of the figure for a molded copyright mark, which should read "© Funko Inc. 2016" or later depending on the production year. The SKU 88 corresponds to the Sanrio Kuromi with Phone figure, so verify that the character design and phone accessory match official Sanrio licensing guidelines. If the paint is uneven, the plastic feels overly soft, or the box lacks the standard Funko branding, the item is likely a counterfeit.
The specific release date for the Kuromi with Phone Pop! Sanrio (SKU 88) is not reliably documented in available public records. While Funko regularly releases Sanrio characters, exact launch dates for individual SKU numbers are often not tracked in centralized databases.
I cannot confirm the current print status or new retail availability of the Kuromi with Phone Pop! Sanrio (SKU 88) without access to real-time inventory data. Funko frequently discontinues specific Sanrio figures, so this item may be out of print and only available through the secondary market.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for individual Funko Pop! figures, so condition is typically assessed by the seller or buyer based on visual inspection. You should examine the figure for common defects such as paint transfer, scratches, chipped plastic, or hairline cracks, paying close attention to the phone accessory and the character's face. For the most accurate assessment, compare the item against high-resolution images of a known factory-fresh example to identify any deviations in color or molding.
