Common questions about the Leatherface Pop! Movies from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Leatherface Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1150) is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released in 2021 as part of the general Pop! Movies line, meaning it was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. Because it was not a limited edition, exclusive, or special variant, its production run was large enough to make it a common collectible for most buyers.
The value of a 2021 Leatherface Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1150) typically ranges from $10 to $20 for a new, unopened box, while open figures generally sell for $5 to $10. As a standard release from a major franchise, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on current local demand and the condition of the item.
To authenticate your 2021 Leatherface Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1150), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself has the correct "Funko" logo on the base. Inspect the paint application for consistency, as counterfeits often feature sloppy detailing, incorrect eye colors, or mismatched textures on the chainsaw and mask. While there is no single definitive test for authenticity, comparing the figure's proportions and specific sculpt details against high-resolution images of the official release can help identify discrepancies. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is highly likely to be genuine, but buying from secondary markets increases the risk of encountering fakes.

As of my last update, the Leatherface Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1150) is generally considered out of print by Funko. While Funko does occasionally reprint popular titles, this specific item is no longer listed as available for purchase on the official Funko website. Collectors looking for a new copy typically need to check secondary markets, where prices may be significantly higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Leatherface Pop! Movies figure, first inspect the vinyl for common defects such as mold lines, paint overspray, or hairline cracks, paying close attention to the chainsaw and mask details. Check the packaging for any signs of tampering, such as resealed tape or creased boxes, as these significantly impact value. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a score from 1 to 10 based on the condition of both the figure and its original box.
