Common questions about the Leonidas Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Leonidas Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item released by Funko in 2023. It is a regular release that is widely available through major retailers and the secondary market, meaning it does not possess the limited production numbers or exclusivity required to be classified as a rare collectible.
The retail value of the 2023 Leonidas Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1473) is typically around $12.99, though current market prices for new stock often range between $10 and $15 depending on the retailer. As a standard release from a recent year, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price unless found in a sealed box with specific collector features.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Leonidas (SKU 1473), first verify that the box is sealed with the standard shrink wrap and that the figure itself is made of high-quality vinyl with a smooth, glossy finish. Check the base for a clear, legible "Funko" logo and ensure the paint application is precise without visible bleeding or excess residue. While there is no single definitive test, significant deviations in color, weight, or packaging quality compared to the official 2023 release are strong indicators of a counterfeit.

Funko Pop! Movies #1473 Leonidas is currently out of print and is no longer available to purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. Because the item is discontinued, new stock is generally unavailable, and collectors typically seek out sealed boxes on the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
To condition-check a Leonidas Pop! Movies figure, inspect the vinyl surface under bright light for manufacturing defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or molding imperfections. Examine the joints and limbs for any stress cracks, particularly around the neck and shoulders, which are common failure points. Verify that the figure is complete with all original accessories and that the packaging is intact if you are evaluating the sealed product.
