Common questions about the Liliana Vess Pop! Magic from Funko (2014).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Liliana Vess Pop! Magic figure (SKU 05) is not considered rare, as it was part of the standard production run for the 2014 Magic: The Gathering collection. It was widely distributed through major retail channels and is not a limited edition, exclusive, or chase variant. Consequently, it is generally available on the secondary market and does not carry the scarcity premium associated with rare Funko items.
The value of a 2014 Liliana Vess Funko Pop! (SKU 05) varies significantly based on condition, with unopened factory-sealed boxes typically commanding a premium over loose figures. As a common Magic: The Gathering character from a widely produced line, it is generally not a high-value investment, with loose copies often trading for under $10 to $20 and sealed boxes ranging from $15 to $30 depending on market fluctuations. Prices can spike if the figure is part of a specific chase set or if the packaging is in mint condition, but it remains an accessible entry-level collectible.
To authenticate your Liliana Vess Pop! Magic, verify that the box displays the official Funko logo, the Magic: The Gathering licensing mark, and the specific SKU number 05. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy painting or misaligned parts. You can also compare the figure's proportions and facial features against high-resolution images of the official 2014 release to ensure accuracy.
The Liliana Vess Pop! Magic was released in 2014 by Funko.
The Liliana Vess Pop! Magic figure (SKU 05) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko or major retailers. It is a discontinued item from the 2014 release, meaning the only way to acquire it is through the secondary market, such as eBay, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Liliana Vess Pop! Magic, you should inspect the vinyl for common defects such as paint chips, seams, and scratches, paying particular attention to the edges of her hat and the tips of her fingers. The condition of the original box is also critical for value, as a "mint" grade requires the box to be free of dents, creases, and shelf wear. For a formal certification, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these specific visual criteria.
