The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Lou Gehrig Pop! Sports Legends figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a widely distributed standard retail line. These figures were produced in large quantities and remain commonly available through major retailers and secondary markets. While specific variants or limited editions might be harder to find, the standard SKU 19 figure is a common collectible.
The value of a Lou Gehrig Pop! Sports Legends figure (SKU 19) varies significantly based on its condition, packaging, and current market demand. As a standard production item from a popular series, it typically sells for a modest price, often ranging from $5 to $15 for a sealed box, while unboxed figures generally command lower prices. For the most accurate and up-to-date valuation, I recommend checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
You can authenticate your Lou Gehrig Pop! Sports Legends figure by checking for the official Funko logo on the base and verifying that the paint application is clean without significant bleeding or misalignment. The figure should feel solid and well-balanced, with the characteristic vinyl texture typical of the brand. If you are still uncertain about its authenticity, you can submit photos of the figure and its packaging to Funko’s customer support team for a definitive verification.
Funko did not release a Pop! Sports Legends figure of Lou Gehrig. While the company has produced figures of many baseball legends, there is no record of a Lou Gehrig figure in their catalog, meaning no release date exists for this specific item.
The Lou Gehrig Pop! Sports Legends figure (SKU 19) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. As a discontinued item, new copies are typically only found on the secondary market through resellers or auction sites.
