The Luau Pumbaa Pop! (SKU 498) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production release in 2018. This figure was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels, meaning high production numbers make it a common item in the secondary market.
The standard retail price for the 2018 Luau Pumbaa Funko Pop! (SKU 498) was approximately $12.99. As a common mass-produced figure from a popular franchise, its value in the secondary market typically hovers around its original retail price or slightly below, ranging from $8 to $15 depending on the condition of the box and figure.
To authenticate your Luau Pumbaa Pop! (SKU 498), first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the correct 2018 release date. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the specific "Luau" costume details, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or off-color plastics. Check the bottom of the figure for a molded SKU number that matches the 498 listed on the packaging. If the item lacks these manufacturing markers or the box appears to be a reprint with incorrect copyright dates, it is likely a replica.

The Luau Pumbaa Pop! Disney (SKU 498) is no longer in print and is not currently available to buy new from Funko. This item was part of a limited release series and has since been discontinued, meaning it can only be purchased as a used item from secondary markets.
To grade a Luau Pumbaa Pop! Disney, you should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or scratches, and verify that the box is free of significant wear, dents, or fading. For a professional assessment, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like Beckett (BGS) or CGC, which will evaluate the figure and box condition and assign a numerical score. Keep in mind that these services charge a fee and have a turnaround time, so factor those costs into your decision to grade.
