No, the Luigi Pop! Disney (SKU 285) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2017 and remains widely available on the secondary market. Because it was part of a common release wave, its value is generally low compared to limited edition or exclusive variants.
The Luigi Pop! Disney (SKU 285) is a common mass-production item that typically sells for between $5 and $10 in new, sealed condition. Because it was released in 2017 and is not a limited edition, its value is primarily determined by current retail availability rather than rarity. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on seller fees and shipping costs on secondary marketplaces.
To authenticate your Luigi Pop! (SKU 285), first verify that the box displays the correct 2017 release year and the specific SKU number on the back. Examine the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth, uniform finish, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding or uneven coloring. Additionally, check that the clear plastic display box is rigid with a secure snap-fit lid, and confirm that the Funko logo and copyright information are printed clearly without smudging. If the figure lacks these manufacturing hallmarks, it is likely a reproduction.

The Luigi Pop! Disney (SKU 285) is considered out of print and is no longer produced by Funko. While it is no longer available to buy new directly from the manufacturer, you can find used or new-old-stock copies through third-party retailers and secondary marketplaces.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so condition is typically assessed by the seller or buyer using informal descriptors like "Mint," "Near Mint," or "Played with." To check the condition of a Luigi Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, and verify that the eyes are aligned and the figure stands upright without wobbling. You should also examine the box for any damage, as the packaging is often considered part of the item's value.
