Common questions about the Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s 2022 Comic Covers series, which was widely distributed through major retailers and online marketplaces. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may have lower production numbers, the standard SKU 01 figure remains a common collectible.
The retail value of the 2022 Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers figure is typically between $12 and $15. As a standard mass-market item, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price in the secondary market, with used copies often selling for slightly less.
To authenticate your 2022 Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers figure, first verify that the box is a standard Funko Pop! window box with the correct branding and that the figure itself matches the official product images for that specific release. Check the bottom of the figure for the embossed "Funko" logo and ensure the paint application is clean without significant bleeding or misalignment, which are common signs of counterfeits. If the packaging appears damaged, lacks a proper UPC, or the figure feels unusually light or poorly molded, it may be a replica, so comparing it side-by-side with verified listings from reputable sellers is the most reliable method for confirmation.
The Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the 2022 Star Wars: Comic Covers series, meaning the Luke Skywalker figure is no longer in print. It is not available to buy new directly from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors must seek out the item on the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized trading platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To grade a Luke Skywalker Pop! Comic Covers figure, you should first inspect the vinyl for any manufacturing defects such as cracks, chips, or paint flaws, as these significantly impact value. If you are seeking a formal grade, submit the item to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will evaluate the figure's condition and assign a numerical score from 1 to 10. For casual assessment, compare the figure against high-resolution images of a known "mint" example to check for common wear points like the head sculpt and base.
