To authenticate your Funko Pop! Lurch with Thing (SKU 805), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the specific SKU number 805 printed on the bottom. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the standard Funko Pop! branding on the base, as counterfeit items often exhibit blurry printing, uneven seams, or missing logos. While there is no single definitive test for every figure, checking the weight and the quality of the plastic against known genuine examples is a reliable method for spotting fakes.

There is no official third-party grading service for Funko Pop! vinyl figures, so you cannot obtain a certified numerical grade like you would for trading cards. To condition-check the item, you should inspect it under bright light for common defects such as seam lines, paint overspray, or "pop-out" issues where the head is not fully seated. You can also verify the specific SKU 805 against the box to ensure you have the correct 2019 release, noting that any significant damage or missing parts will significantly reduce its value.
