Common questions about the Magic Carpet Ride Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Magic Carpet Ride Pop! Disney (SKU 480) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure that was widely distributed through major retailers and Funko's own channels. While specific production runs vary, this item is a common collectible and does not carry the limited-edition status that typically drives high rarity.
The value of the Magic Carpet Ride Pop! Disney (SKU 480) varies significantly based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $10 and $25 in new, sealed condition. Prices for used figures are generally lower, often ranging from $5 to $15, depending on the state of the packaging and the figure itself. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
There is no widely recognized Funko Pop! product with SKU 480 specifically titled "Magic Carpet Ride" in the standard Disney lineup, which suggests the item may be a misidentified variant, a third-party reproduction, or a listing error. To authenticate a genuine Funko Pop!, verify that the packaging includes the official Funko logo, a clear plastic window, and a printed SKU number on the box that matches the figure's base. Additionally, genuine figures typically feature a smooth, consistent paint application and a distinct "Funko" logo molded into the base, whereas fakes often exhibit rough seams, off-center eyes, or missing logos. If the SKU does not correspond to a known release in Funko's official catalog, the item is likely not an authentic first-party product.
Funko does not publicly list specific release dates for individual Pop! figures in their official catalog, so the exact release date for the Magic Carpet Ride Pop! Disney (SKU 480) is not reliably documented. While third-party marketplaces may show listing dates, these reflect when sellers began offering the item rather than its official launch.
The Magic Carpet Ride Pop! Disney (SKU 480) is currently out of print and is no longer available to purchase new directly from Funko. As a discontinued item, it is typically only found through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or collector-to-collector sales.
To condition-check a Funko Pop!, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections under bright, direct light. Examine the head for any "head tilt" where the neck seam is visible, and check the base for cracks, chips, or unevenness. If you are seeking a formal grade for resale value, you must submit the figure to a professional grading service like PSA or Beckett, as casual self-assessments do not carry market weight.
