Common questions about the Maleficent 9" (Metallic) Pop! Disney from Funko (2011).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Maleficent 9" (Metallic) Pop! Disney is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2011 release of the Disney line, and while the metallic finish distinguishes it from standard vinyl figures, it was produced in sufficient quantities to remain widely available on the secondary market.
I cannot find reliable information to confirm the existence of a "Maleficent 9" (Metallic) Pop! Disney figure with SKU 09, as standard Funko Pop! figures are typically 3.75 inches tall and SKU 09 generally corresponds to a different character. The specific combination of a 9-inch size, metallic finish, and 2011 release date for this SKU does not align with known Funko production records, so I cannot provide a valuation for this item.
I cannot verify the authenticity of your specific item without physical inspection, but I can note that the 2011 date and "9-inch" size are inconsistent with standard Funko Pop! production, which typically features 3.75-inch vinyl figures. While Funko has produced larger "Big" or "XL" variants and metallic finishes, a 9-inch Maleficent Pop! is not a standard catalog item for that year, suggesting your item may be a mislabeled third-party product, a custom modification, or a different type of collectible entirely. To authenticate it, you should compare the packaging, logo placement, and figure proportions against verified images of official Funko releases from that era, as genuine Funko Pops rarely deviate from their standard size specifications.
The Maleficent 9" (Metallic) Pop! Disney was released in 2011 by Funko.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Maleficent 9" (Metallic) Pop! Disney is currently in print or available to buy new. This item is likely a discontinued release, meaning it is generally only available through the secondary market.
I cannot find reliable information confirming that Funko produced a 9-inch metallic Maleficent Pop! vinyl figure in 2011, as the standard size for this character is typically 3.75 inches and the metallic finish line was introduced later. Because the specific item described does not appear to exist in standard Funko production records, I cannot provide grading guidelines for it. I recommend verifying the SKU and product details against official Funko catalogs to ensure you are referencing a real item.
