The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Maleficent (Diamond) Pop! is not considered rare. It is a standard production variant released in 2022 that was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own store. While diamond variants are generally less common than standard vinyl figures, this specific SKU was not a limited edition or exclusive release, making it relatively easy to find on the secondary market.
The retail price for the Maleficent (Diamond) Pop! Disney figure (SKU 1082) was typically around $12.99 to $14.99. As a standard diamond variant, its current market value for new-in-box copies generally hovers near or slightly below that original retail price, while used copies usually sell for less. Exact values fluctuate based on condition and local demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
To authenticate your Maleficent (Diamond) Pop! Disney, first verify that the box is sealed with a holographic sticker and that the figure itself features the distinctive diamond-shaped head and crystal-clear body typical of the Diamond series. Check the base for a clean, molded "Funko" logo and ensure the paint application is sharp without visible bleeding or air bubbles, which are common signs of counterfeits. If the packaging, figure weight, or mold quality seems off, you can cross-reference the SKU 1082 against official Funko listings or consult a professional authentication service for a definitive verification.

To condition-check a Maleficent (Diamond) Pop! Disney, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, paying close attention to the intricate details of the diamond accents and the flowing gown. Verify that the figure is securely seated on the base and that the packaging, if present, is free of significant creases, tears, or fading, as these factors significantly impact resale value. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service, though this is less common for standard vinyl figures than for trading cards.
