The Maleficent Pop! Disney (SKU 627) is not considered rare, as it is a standard production figure released in 2014. It is widely available in the secondary market and frequently found in new condition, making it a common item for collectors of the Disney line.
The value of a Maleficent Pop! Disney figure (SKU 627) typically ranges from $10 to $20 for a sealed, new-in-box item, while unopened figures in mint condition may fetch slightly higher prices depending on current market demand. Opened figures generally have significantly lower resale value, often selling for under $5. Prices fluctuate based on condition, local availability, and whether the figure is part of a complete set, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current market value.
To authenticate a Maleficent Pop! Disney (SKU 627), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a matte finish and that the box features the official Funko logo and a scannable QR code. Check the bottom of the figure for the "Funko" branding and the specific SKU number, which should match the 627 listed on the packaging. If the paint application is sloppy, the seams are rough, or the box lacks standard security features like holographic stickers, the item is likely a counterfeit.
