The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Man in Black Pop! Television is not generally considered rare, as it was a standard mass-produced release from 2016. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko’s own channels, making it a common collectible for fans of the series. While specific production numbers for this exact SKU are not publicly detailed, its status as a standard edition means it is typically easier to find than limited or exclusive variants.
The 2016 Funko Pop! Television "Man in Black" (SKU 420) is a standard retail release, so its value is primarily determined by condition and whether it is sealed in the box. In the current secondary market, a sealed copy typically trades in the range of $15 to $25, while an unboxed figure in good condition generally sells for $8 to $12. Because this is a common mass-produced item rather than a limited edition, prices remain relatively stable and modest compared to rare or exclusive variants.
To authenticate your 2016 Funko Man in Black Pop! Television (SKU 420), first verify the box features the standard Funko branding, including the "Pop! Television" series logo and the specific character name. Check that the vinyl figure has the correct proportions, with the characteristic black suit, white shirt, and black tie, and that the eyes are the standard Funko glossy black ovals. Inspect the packaging for a holographic sticker or seal on the back, and compare the figure's paint application and molding quality against known authentic examples, as poor paint lines or misaligned parts often indicate counterfeits. If the box lacks the proper series branding or the figure feels unusually light or heavy compared to standard Pop! Television weights, it may be a replica.
The Man in Black Pop! Television was released in 2016 by Funko.
The Man in Black Pop! Television (SKU 420) is considered out of print and is no longer produced by Funko. It is generally only available through the secondary market, such as eBay or specialty collectibles shops, where prices are typically higher than the original retail price.
To grade a Funko Pop! Television figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the head, hands, and base. Check the box for dents, tears, or faded printing, and verify that the figure is securely seated in its molded plastic insert. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA or CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on these condition factors.
