The Matagot Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts series is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production release by Funko in 2018. It was widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces during its release window, meaning it does not possess the limited production numbers or exclusivity status that typically define rare collectibles.
The Matagot Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts collection is a standard mass-produced vinyl figure that typically retails for approximately $10 to $12 when new in box. Because it is a common item with high production numbers, its secondary market value generally remains at or below retail price, meaning it is not considered a rare collectible.
To authenticate your Matagot Pop!, first verify that the packaging is a sealed box with the correct "Fantastic Beasts" branding and the specific SKU number 20 printed on the label. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the standard Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or poor plastic quality. While there is no single definitive serial number for this specific release, comparing the item side-by-side with high-resolution images of an authentic 2018 release from a reputable retailer is the most reliable method for confirming its legitimacy.

The Matagot Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts series is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2018 release, this item is considered out of production, meaning new stock is only available through third-party resellers or the secondary market.
To condition-check a Matagot Pop! from the Fantastic Beasts line, inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfers, hairline cracks in the plastic, or misaligned eyes. Verify that the packaging is intact, as sealed boxes generally command higher value than loose figures. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on its physical condition.
