The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Megan Rapinoe (Pink Hair) Pop! Sports Legends figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s Sports Legends line, and its common status is reflected in its wide availability and low market value compared to limited-edition or chase variants.
There is no single fixed market value for this figure, as prices fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and current demand. Generally, new-in-box copies of standard Funko Pop! Sports Legends figures typically trade in the range of $10 to $25, while open figures usually sell for significantly less. For the most accurate and up-to-date valuation, you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or specialized collectibles marketplaces.
To authenticate your Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends figure, examine the paint quality, ensuring the pink hair is evenly applied without significant bleeding or gaps, and check that the eyes are properly centered and glossy. Verify that the figure stands firmly on its base without excessive wobble and that the box features crisp, high-resolution printing with the correct Funko logo and SKU 06. While there is no single definitive test for authenticity, consistent manufacturing flaws such as misaligned seams or off-color plastic are strong indicators of a counterfeit, so comparing your item to verified images from reputable retailers is recommended.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for the Megan Rapinoe (Pink Hair) Pop! Sports Legends figure.
Funko has discontinued the Megan Rapinoe (Pink Hair) Pop! Sports Legends figure, so it is no longer in print or available to purchase new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this specific item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized trading platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or discoloration, with particular attention to the pink hair and any facial details where paint is prone to wear. You should also verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the head is properly attached, as loose joints are a common defect. While third-party grading services like Beckett exist for collectibles, they are rarely used for standard retail Funko Pops due to the low cost of the item relative to the grading fee, so most collectors rely on visual inspection and retailer return policies for quality assurance.
