Common questions about the Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-produced series released by Funko. These figures were widely distributed through major retailers and online marketplaces, making them relatively easy to find in new or used condition.
The value of the Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends figure varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is sealed in the box, and current market demand. As a relatively recent release, it typically trades near its original retail price, often between $10 and $15, with sealed copies commanding a slight premium. There is no established secondary market premium for this specific SKU, so it is generally worth its face value to casual collectors.
Funko does not provide a centralized authentication service for individual retail items, so there is no official way to verify a specific SKU 05 Megan Rapinoe Pop! as "real" beyond visual inspection. You should check for consistent paint application, proper logo placement on the base, and the presence of the standard Funko copyright markings on the packaging and figure. If the item was purchased from an authorized retailer, it is presumed authentic, but be wary of listings that lack clear photos of the base and packaging.
I cannot find reliable information confirming the specific release date for a Megan Rapinoe figure in the Funko Sports Legends series. While Funko has produced Megan Rapinoe figures in other lines, such as the Pop! Sports series, the specific SKU and series combination mentioned does not correspond to a verified release in available records.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends figure, meaning it is technically still in print. However, availability for new purchases is often inconsistent, and the item is frequently out of stock on major retail sites. You may need to check secondary markets or local collectible shops to find a new, unopened copy.
You can assess the condition of a Megan Rapinoe Pop! Sports Legends figure by inspecting it for common defects such as paint chipping, seam lines, or mold issues, which are standard quality control checks for vinyl collectibles. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the figure to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on its physical state. Be aware that grading fees and turnaround times vary by service, and the cost of grading often exceeds the resale value of standard, ungraded Funko Pops.
