Common questions about the Merida (Metallic) Pop! Disney from Funko (2013).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Merida (Metallic) Pop! is considered a rare variant because it was part of a limited production run of the 2013 Disney line. As a metallic finish figure, it was produced in significantly lower quantities than standard plastic versions, making it a sought-after item among collectors. Its rarity is further enhanced by its age and the fact that metallic figures from that era are no longer in production.
The value of the 2013 Merida (Metallic) Pop! (SKU 57) varies significantly based on condition and whether it is still in its original box. As a 2013 release, it is considered a vintage item, which generally commands a premium over newer releases. In good condition with the box, it typically trades in the range of $25 to $40, while unboxed or damaged figures may sell for less. Prices can fluctuate based on current market demand for *Brave* characters and the specific finish, so checking recent sales on secondary markets like eBay is the most accurate way to determine its current worth.
To authenticate your 2013 Merida (Metallic) Pop! (SKU 57), first verify the box seal and check that the vinyl figure has the correct metallic finish and the standard "Funko" logo on the base. Examine the packaging for the correct Disney branding and the specific SKU number 57 printed on the box, as this item was part of the 2013 Disney collection. If the figure feels lightweight, has a rough or uneven metallic coating, or the box lacks the proper copyright markings, it may be a replica. For definitive confirmation, compare the item against high-resolution images of the original release or consult a Funko authentication service if you suspect a counterfeit.

To condition-check a 2013 Merida (Metallic) Pop! (SKU 57), first inspect the head for cracks, chips, or paint loss, paying close attention to the metallic finish which is more susceptible to scratching than standard vinyl. Check the body for any dents or loose parts, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and the hair pieces are intact. If you plan to have it professionally graded, services like Beckett or PSA will assess the item based on surface wear, color accuracy, and completeness, assigning a numerical grade that reflects its overall condition.
