No, the Merida Pop! (SKU 1245) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the Disney Princess line that was widely distributed in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific variants like exclusive or limited editions may have lower production numbers, this standard release remains relatively common in the secondary market.
The standard Merida Pop! Disney figure (SKU 1245) typically retails for approximately $12.00 to $15.00 USD. In the secondary market, unopened copies generally trade for $10.00 to $15.00, while opened figures usually sell for $5.00 to $10.00 depending on condition. Prices can fluctuate based on local availability and demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current valuation.
To authenticate your Merida Pop! (SKU 1245), first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko shrink wrap and that the plastic figure inside is free of major mold lines, paint overspray, or discoloration. Check that the "Funko" logo and the "Pop!" branding on the box are crisp and correctly aligned, as fakes often feature blurry text or misprinted logos. Additionally, the figure should have a solid, heavy feel with a smooth, glossy finish, and the base should be flat and securely attached to the figure. If the item lacks these quality markers or the packaging appears off, it is advisable to consult a professional authentication service or compare it against verified images from a reputable retailer.

To condition-check a Merida Pop! Disney, examine the vinyl surface for common defects such as mold seams, paint overspray, or hairline cracks, paying close attention to the intricate details of her braid and dress. Verify that the figure stands level on its base and that the head is properly seated on the neck post without gaps. While third-party grading services like PSA can provide a standardized score, most collectors assess value based on the presence of these visible flaws and the condition of the original packaging.
