The Merlion Pop! Icons is not considered rare. As a 2025 release from Funko, it is a standard production item with no limited edition number or special variant markings. It is widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels.
The Merlion Pop! Icons (SKU 148) is a 2025 release, so its value is primarily determined by the original retail price, which is typically around $12.00 USD for standard Funko Pops. Because this is a recent release, the secondary market price generally hovers near or slightly above retail, with premiums possible if the item is sealed and in high demand. As a 2025 item, it has not yet established a long-term resale history, so current value is best assessed by checking live listings on platforms like eBay or Pop Shopper for the specific SKU.
To authenticate your 2025 Funko Pop! Icons Merlion (SKU 148), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko logo and that the vinyl figure matches the official product images in terms of color, proportions, and paint application. Check the base for the embossed "Funko" logo and ensure the plastic is solid and free of excessive flash or rough edges. If the item is unopened, confirm the box dimensions and weight align with standard Pop! Icons specifications, and look for the specific SKU 148 printed on the packaging. If you purchased it from a secondary market, cross-reference the serial number or batch code with Funko's official release records to confirm authenticity.

To grade a Merlion Pop! Icons figure, you should inspect it under bright, neutral lighting to check for common defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, or misaligned parts. For a formal grade, submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on its condition. If you are only doing a casual condition check, look for cracks, scratches, or fading on the vinyl surface and verify that the figure is complete with its original box and any included accessories.
