The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Merman Pop! Television (SKU 564) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard 2018 production run for the series. It is a common item that is frequently available on the secondary market and through various retail channels.
The value of a Merman Pop! Television figure varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is sealed in the box, and current market demand. As a standard 2018 release, it is generally considered a common item, so its value is typically low, often ranging from a few dollars to around $10–$15 for a loose figure in good condition. Sealed boxes may command a slightly higher price, but these figures rarely appreciate significantly over time. For the most accurate current valuation, checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay is recommended.
To authenticate your Merman Pop! Television, verify that the packaging features the official Funko logo and the specific SKU 564 printed on the box. The figure itself should have a smooth, consistent vinyl finish with sharp, well-defined details and no visible mold lines or paint overspray. Additionally, check the base of the figure for a small, embossed copyright mark that reads "© Funko" along with the year of manufacture. If the packaging is missing or the figure exhibits significant flaws, consider comparing it side-by-side with a verified reference image from a reputable collector community.
The Merman Pop! Television was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Merman Pop! Television (SKU 564) is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2018 release, it has been discontinued, meaning new stock is no longer produced or sold by the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look for pre-owned copies on the secondary market.
To condition-check a Merman Pop! Television, inspect the vinyl for any cracks, scratches, or paint chips, paying close attention to the fins and tail where stress often occurs. Verify that the eyes are intact and the paint is not faded, as these are common indicators of age or poor storage. Since this item was released in 2018, check for any yellowing of the plastic, particularly on unpainted areas, and ensure the figure is securely attached to its base if it is a standalone variant.
