The Mewtwo Pop! Games figure (SKU 581) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item that was released in 2020 and re-released in 2023, making it widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces.
The value of a Mewtwo Pop! Games figure varies significantly based on its specific edition, condition, and whether it is sold with its original box. As a standard retail item from the 2020 or 2023 releases, an unopened figure typically sells for between $15 and $30, while loose figures generally range from $5 to $15. Special editions, such as Chase variants or exclusive colorways, can command higher prices, often exceeding $50 if rare.
You can authenticate your Mewtwo Pop! Games figure by checking for the official Funko logo and copyright information on the packaging, as well as verifying that the vinyl figure has the correct proportions and paint application typical of the brand. Since Funko does not provide a public serial number database for individual figures, the most reliable method is to compare your item against high-resolution images of the official release from 2020 or 2023. If the packaging appears damaged, altered, or the figure has significant paint defects not found in standard production runs, it may be a counterfeit or a defective item.
The Mewtwo Pop! Games was released in 2020 2020 2023 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Mewtwo Pop! Games figure, so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific SKU is often inconsistent, and the item is frequently out of stock at major retailers. You may need to check Funko's official website or authorized third-party sellers to locate a new copy.
To condition-check a Mewtwo Pop! Games figure, inspect the vinyl surface under bright light for scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the eyes and fine details like the tail. Verify that the figure is securely attached to the backing card and that the card itself is free from creases, water damage, or significant wear. If you are seeking a formal grade for resale purposes, you must submit the figure to a third-party grading service such as PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these factors.
