Common questions about the Michael Myers Pop! Movies from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Michael Myers Pop! Movies (SKU 1156) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2021 release wave that was widely distributed through major retail channels. While specific variants like Chase editions may have lower production numbers, the base figure remains a common item in the Funko Pop! catalog.
The value of a Michael Myers Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1156) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a standard, unsealed figure, it typically sells for between $10 and $15 on the secondary market, while a sealed copy generally commands a higher price, often ranging from $20 to $30. Prices can fluctuate based on current demand and the specific marketplace, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current valuation.
To authenticate your Michael Myers Pop! Movies (SKU 1156), first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko shrink wrap and that the figure itself matches the official 2021 release specifications, including the correct paint application and pose. Check the bottom of the figure for the embossed "Funko" logo and the specific SKU number, which should align with the product code on the packaging. If the paint quality is poor, the plastic feels brittle, or the box lacks the standard Funko branding and barcode, it is likely a counterfeit, and you should compare it directly against high-resolution images from Funko’s official website or a reputable retailer.
The Michael Myers Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Michael Myers Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1156), so it is technically still in print. However, availability for this specific 2021 release is often inconsistent, and it may be out of stock at major retailers like Target, Walmart, or the Funko Shop. You should check current inventory on the official Funko website or authorized retailers to confirm if it is available to buy new.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for individual Funko Pop! figures, so condition is typically assessed by the buyer using visual inspection. You should examine the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, chipped plastic, or discoloration, and verify that the head articulates smoothly without excessive play. If you purchased the item from a secondary market, compare the specific unit against high-resolution photos of a known good example to identify any manufacturing flaws.
