The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Michael Myers Pop! Movies (SKU 1156) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2021 release wave that was widely distributed through major retail channels. Because it was not a limited edition, exclusive, or special variant, it remains readily available in the secondary market.
The retail value of the 2021 Michael Myers Pop! Movies (SKU 1156) is typically between $10 and $15 for a new, sealed figure. Because this is a standard, widely produced release, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and prices for used or opened figures are generally lower.
To authenticate your Michael Myers Pop! Movies (SKU 1156), first verify that the figure is sealed in its original box with the correct product number and copyright date, which should align with the 2021 release. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the standard Funko logo on the base, as counterfeits often exhibit blurry printing, uneven seams, or off-color plastics. If the item is unboxed, compare its specific physical traits against high-resolution images of verified authentic examples from reputable collector communities or the official Funko catalog.
The Michael Myers Pop! Movies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Michael Myers Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1156) from its standard production line, meaning it is no longer available to purchase new directly from the manufacturer. While it is not currently in print, you may find new stock at third-party retailers who have not yet cleared their inventory, though availability is likely limited.
Condition-checking a Michael Myers Pop! Movies figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and mold lines, with particular attention to the knife blade and the mask's facial features. You should also verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of clouding, and ensure the figure stands straight without leaning, which can indicate a warped base. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service, though most collectors simply assess the item's value based on its ungraded, in-box condition.
