The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Mickey Mouse (Metallic) Pop! Disney is not considered rare because it was a standard Special Edition release produced in 2022, not a limited production run. While metallic variants generally command higher prices than standard figures, this specific item was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels. Its value is driven by the metallic finish and the popularity of the character rather than scarcity.
The Mickey Mouse (Metallic) Pop! Disney (SKU 1187) is a 2022 special edition release that typically retails for approximately $15 to $20. As a standard metallic variant, it generally does not command a significant premium over its retail price on the secondary market, with used copies often trading between $10 and $15 depending on condition.
To authenticate your 2022 Mickey Mouse (Metallic) Pop! Disney (SKU 1187), first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a scannable QR code, which should direct you to the product page on Funko's website. Examine the figure for high-quality paint application and the distinct metallic finish characteristic of this special edition, ensuring the vinyl is smooth without visible seams or air bubbles. Check the bottom of the figure for the molded "Funko" logo and the correct SKU number, as counterfeit items often lack these details or feature blurry printing. If the packaging or figure quality seems inconsistent with official standards, consider submitting images to Funko's customer support for a definitive verification.
The Mickey Mouse (Metallic) Pop! Disney was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Mickey Mouse (Metallic) Pop! Disney figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retail channels. While the item may occasionally appear on secondary markets like eBay or Amazon, availability is limited to existing stock from previous production runs.
Condition-checking a metallic Pop! vinyl primarily involves inspecting the figure for paint damage, scratches, or scuffs on the metallic finish, which is more prone to showing wear than standard matte vinyl. You should also verify that the head and body are properly aligned and that the figure is free from stress cracks, particularly around the neck and base. Since this is a 2022 Special Edition, ensure the box is in mint condition with no shelf wear, as the packaging significantly impacts the item's value.
