The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The MMS 09 Scar Predator is not considered rare in the current collector market. As a 2005 release from Hot Toys' MMS line, it was produced in sufficient quantities to be widely available, and it typically trades at a modest price point compared to limited-edition figures. You can generally find this figure in good condition without significant difficulty.
The MMS 09 Scar Predator is a vintage Hot Toys figure from the 2005 *Predator* movie line, and its value depends heavily on condition and whether it is sealed. In loose, complete condition, these figures typically sell for between $50 and $100, while unopened boxes can command prices ranging from $150 to over $300 depending on the state of the packaging. Prices fluctuate based on market demand, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine current value.
The MMS 09 Scar Predator is a legitimate product from the Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series, released in early 2005. To authenticate your figure, inspect the packaging for the correct Hot Toys logo, the MMS 09 product code, and the specific "Scar Predator" title, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or incorrect color schemes. Examine the sculpting details and paint application on the figure itself, as genuine Hot Toys figures from this era typically exhibit high-quality molding and precise paint work compared to fakes. If the figure lacks the proper Hot Toys branding on the base or exhibits significant manufacturing defects, it may be a reproduction.
