The Hot Toys MMS 156 Captain America is not considered rare, as it was a standard production 1/6th scale figure released in 2011 with a wide distribution. While the original retail packaging may be difficult to find in mint condition today, the figure itself is readily available on the secondary market.
I cannot find reliable information to determine the current market value of the Hot Toys MMS 156 Captain America. Prices for this specific 2011 1/6th scale figure fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and regional demand, so I recommend checking recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay for an accurate estimate.
The MMS 156 Captain America is a legitimate product from Hot Toys, released in 2011 as part of their 1/6 scale Marvel Movie Series line. To authenticate your figure, verify that the packaging and the figure itself bear the official Hot Toys logo and the specific MMS156 model number. You should also inspect the sculpting quality, paint application, and the articulation points, as genuine Hot Toys figures feature high-resolution details and smooth joints that are difficult to replicate in counterfeits.
The MMS 156 Captain America was released in 22-Jun-11 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys MMS156 Captain America figure is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from the manufacturer. It was released in 2011 and has long since been discontinued, meaning it is now only available through the secondary market, such as auction sites or private collectors.
It is important to clarify that the MMS156 Captain America is a 1/6th scale collectible figure manufactured by Movie Masterbox, not Hot Toys, and it was released in 2011. Because this item is a mass-produced toy rather than a trading card, it is not graded by major third-party authentication services like PSA, which primarily handle cards, comics, and coins. To assess its condition, you should inspect the figure for common wear issues such as paint transfer on the costume, stress fractures in the plastic joints, and the integrity of the included accessories and display stand.
