The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Hot Toys MMS 203 Robocop with Mechanical Chair is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released in 2013 as part of the widely distributed Movie Masterpiece Series, meaning it was available in large quantities through major retailers. While finding a complete, unopened box in pristine condition may be difficult today due to its age, the figure itself is a common collectible with a stable market value.
I cannot provide a specific current market value for the Hot Toys MMS 203 Robocop figure, as collectible prices fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and regional demand. To determine its worth, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay or consult specialized price guides for 1/6 scale action figures.
There is no reliable evidence that Hot Toys manufactured a product with the MPN MMS203 or a Robocop figure with a mechanical chair released in May 2013. Hot Toys' product codes typically begin with "HT" followed by a number, and their 2013 Robocop releases did not include this specific item or naming convention. Because the manufacturer, MPN, and product description do not align with known Hot Toys catalogs, the item is likely a third-party reproduction, a mislabeled product, or a counterfeit. You should verify the item against official Hot Toys release lists or consult a specialist in 1/6 scale figures to confirm its origin.
The MMS 203 Robocop w/ Mechanical Chair was released in 30-May-13 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys MMS 203 Robocop with Mechanical Chair is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from the manufacturer. As a 2013 release, it is considered a discontinued collectible that can only be found through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms or specialty toy shops.
Grading this Hot Toys figure primarily involves inspecting the mechanical chair for functional integrity, ensuring the hydraulic or motorized mechanisms operate smoothly without sticking or damage. You should also check the Robocop figure for common wear points such as paint transfer on the chrome plating, hairline scratches on the clear parts, and any discoloration on the fabric suit. Since this is a 2013 release, verify that the packaging is original and undamaged if you intend to sell it as a complete set, as the value of the mechanical chair is significantly diminished if it is non-functional.
