No, the Hot Toys MMS 247 Maleficent is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production 1/6th scale figure released in 2014, and while it is now out of production, it remains widely available on the secondary market.
The Hot Toys MMS 247 Maleficent is a discontinued 1/6 scale figure from 2014, and its current market value typically ranges between $150 and $250 USD for a complete set in good condition. Prices can vary significantly based on the item's condition, whether it is sealed in the box, and the specific marketplace, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its exact worth.
Hot Toys does not manufacture a product with the MPN MMS247, as this prefix is associated with Movie Masterpiece Series figures, not Hot Toys 1/6th scale collectibles. The specific item described as a "Maleficent" figure from June 2014 does not match any known Hot Toys release catalog for that year. Consequently, the item you possess is likely a counterfeit, a mislabeled third-party product, or a confusion with a different manufacturer's line, and it cannot be authenticated as a genuine Hot Toys product.

The Hot Toys MMS 247 Maleficent figure is no longer in production and is considered out of print. It is no longer available for purchase new from Hot Toys or authorized retail partners. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as online auction sites or specialty toy resellers, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
To grade the Hot Toys MMS 247 Maleficent, inspect the figure for common wear points such as paint transfer on the horns and staff, scuffs on the boots, and any stress cracks in the plastic joints. Check the articulation for looseness or play, particularly in the shoulders and hips, and verify that the sculpted details on the dress and hair remain crisp without chipping. Since this is a 2014 release, also examine the packaging for shelf wear, fading, or missing inserts if you are evaluating the complete set.
