I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific physical item without examining it in person. The provided SKU and UPC do not correspond to a verifiable Hot Toys product, as the manufacturer is primarily known for 1:6 scale die-cast vehicles and figures rather than the MMS numbering system, which is typically associated with other collectible lines. I recommend checking the packaging for official Hot Toys branding, holographic stickers, and a valid serial number, or consulting a certified appraiser for a definitive authentication.
The MMS 262 Chewbacca was released in 2014 by Hot Toys as part of the a new hope line.
The Hot Toys MMS 262 Chewbacca from the A New Hope line is a 2014 release that is no longer in production. It is not available to buy new from the manufacturer and is generally only found through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or collector-to-collector sales.
Grading a Hot Toys MMS 262 Chewbacca involves inspecting the vinyl head and body for stress cracks, paint transfer, and discoloration, particularly around the joints and the fur texture. You should check the articulation points for looseness and ensure the included accessories, such as the bowcaster and blaster, are free from chipping or fading. Since this is a 1/6th scale figure, minor scuffs on the limbs are common, but significant damage to the face or missing parts will significantly lower its value.
