The MMS 271 Shadow Trooper is not a standard Hot Toys product, as the manufacturer is known for 1/6th scale die-cast figures and does not use the "MMS" prefix for their model numbers. This item is likely a misidentified product, a counterfeit, or a figure from a different manufacturer such as Hasbro or a third-party importer. To authenticate it, you should verify the packaging and box art against official Hot Toys catalogs, which typically feature specific branding and model numbers that do not match this description.

The Hot Toys MMS 271 Shadow Trooper is no longer in production and is not available for purchase as a new item from the manufacturer. This figure is considered out of print, meaning it can only be found on the secondary market through third-party resellers, where availability and pricing are subject to fluctuation.
To condition-check the Hot Toys MMS 271 Shadow Trooper, inspect the vinyl head and plastic armor for stress cracks, particularly around the joints and helmet, as well as any discoloration or yellowing on the unpainted parts. Verify that the included accessories, such as the blaster and lightsaber, are intact with no chipped paint or broken prongs, and ensure the figure's articulation points move smoothly without excessive play. For a formal grade, the figure must be submitted to a third-party grading service like Beckett, which will assign a score based on paint, articulation, and overall wear, though this is optional for personal collection.
