The Hot Toys MMS 272 Iron Man Mark XXII Hot Rod is not considered rare, as it was a standard production figure released in November 2014 and is widely available on the secondary market. The value of the Hot Toys MMS 272 Iron Man Mark XXII Hot Rod varies significantly based on its condition and whether it is sold new in box (NIB) or used. As a 2014 release, it is no longer a current retail item, so prices are determined by the secondary market; a sealed, unopened figure typically commands a premium over a complete, used one. To get an accurate current valuation, you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay, as prices for vintage Hot Toys figures fluctuate based on collector demand and specific market trends.
Hot Toys MMS272 is a legitimate product from their Marvel Movie Series line, released in 2014 to coincide with the Iron Man 3 film. To authenticate your figure, verify that the packaging features the correct Hot Toys and Marvel logos, check that the figure's sculpting and paint application match high-resolution images of the official release, and confirm that the included accessories and base are consistent with the standard retail configuration. If the figure lacks the proper Hot Toys branding on the box or exhibits poor quality control issues common to counterfeits, it may be a replica.

The Hot Toys MMS 272 Iron Man Mark XXII Hot Rod is a discontinued 1/6th scale figure that is no longer in print. Condition-checking a Hot Toys 1/6 scale figure like the MMS 272 involves inspecting the head sculpt for paint transfer, checking the joints for wear or looseness, and verifying that all included accessories and display stands are present and undamaged. Unlike trading cards, these figures are not typically sent to third-party grading services for a numerical score, so value is determined by the overall completeness and cosmetic state of the item. You should also examine the packaging for any significant damage, as the box condition often influences the market value of the figure.
