Authenticating a Hot Toys MMS 377 Rey figure involves checking the packaging for the official Hot Toys logo, the correct MPN (MMS377), and a valid UPC barcode, as well as inspecting the figure for high-quality sculpting, consistent paint application, and the presence of the numbered certificate of authenticity. You should also verify that the included accessories, such as the lightsaber and blaster, match the official product specifications and that the figure's joints and articulation points are smooth and well-finished. If the packaging appears worn, the barcode is missing, or the figure shows signs of poor molding or paint transfer, it may be a counterfeit, so comparing your item to verified images from reputable retailers is recommended.

To grade the Hot Toys MMS377 Rey figure, inspect the Resistance outfit for fabric pilling, discoloration, or fraying, and check the plastic components for stress cracks, particularly around the joints and the staff. Examine the articulation points for looseness or play, and verify that the included accessories and display stand are free from damage. If you require a formal numerical grade for insurance or resale purposes, you must submit the figure to a professional grading service, as consumer-grade collectibles like Hot Toys are not typically graded by major third-party agencies like PSA.
