The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hot Toys MMS 409 Batman is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production release from the 2017 line. Like most figures from this era, it was widely available through major retailers and has since become a common item in the secondary market.
The MMS 409 Batman originally retailed for $234.99. Live secondary-market data isn't indexed yet — check eBay sold listings for current value.
The item described as "MMS 409 Batman" by Hot Toys does not correspond to any known product in the manufacturer's catalog, as Hot Toys uses a distinct numbering system (e.g., 6-inch figures typically start with 1, 1/6 scale with 5 or 6) and does not use the "MMS" prefix. The provided UPC (4900000000000) is a generic test number and not a valid commercial barcode, which strongly suggests the item is a counterfeit, a mislabeled product, or a data entry error. To authenticate a Hot Toys figure, you should verify the specific product number on the packaging against the official Hot Toys website and check for quality indicators such as sharp molding, correct logo placement, and the presence of a valid, scannable UPC.
The MMS 409 Batman was released in 11-Feb-17 by Hot Toys.
The Hot Toys MMS 409 Batman figure is no longer in production and is not available to buy new from the manufacturer. As a 2017 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning new stock is only available through third-party resellers or the secondary market.
I cannot find reliable information specific to a Hot Toys MMS 409 Batman figure, as the provided SKU and UPC do not correspond to a verified product in standard collectibles databases. Generally, condition-checking a 1/6 scale action figure involves inspecting the head for paint wear, checking the body for stress cracks, and verifying that all included accessories and display stands are present and undamaged. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the item to a recognized third-party grading service, though most major services do not grade standard 1/6 scale toys.
