The Hot Toys MMS 461 Iron Man Mark IV is not considered rare, as it was a standard production 1/6th scale figure released in 2018. Because it was widely available through major retailers and has been on the market for several years, it is generally easy to find in both new and used condition.
The Hot Toys MMS 461 Iron Man Mark IV 1/6th scale figure typically retails for approximately $150 to $180 USD when new. In the secondary market, prices for used figures in good condition generally range from $100 to $140, depending on the specific variant and included accessories.
Hot Toys does not use the "MMS" prefix for their product codes; their 2018 Iron Man Mark IV 1/6th scale figure is typically identified by the code MMS461 only if it is a specific regional variant, but standard global releases usually carry codes like MMS461 or similar alphanumeric strings without the "MMS" prefix being the primary identifier in most databases. To authenticate the item, verify that the packaging includes the official Hot Toys logo, a holographic security sticker, and a unique serial number on the box and the figure's base, while checking that the sculpting, paint application, and articulation points match the quality standards of the 2018 release. If the item lacks these specific manufacturing markers or the serial number does not align with Hot Toys' production records, it is likely a counterfeit.

To grade the Hot Toys MMS 461 Iron Man Mark IV, you should primarily evaluate the condition of its plastic armor for any stress cracks, paint chips, or fading, particularly on high-wear areas like the knuckles and boots. Inspect the articulation points for looseness and check the included accessories, such as the repulsor effects and display stand, for damage or missing parts. For a formal market valuation, the figure must be submitted to a third-party grading service like CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on a standardized rubric for manufacturing quality and preservation.
